How to say "I love you" on Valentine's Day

February 14, 2022

One of the more popular holidays for couples, Valentine's Day (February 14th) gives everyone an opportunity to show their love to important people in their lives.

Have you ever celebrated Valentine's Day or a similar holiday in your country?

You know it's a day to express your love (or friendship) to people in your life - whether it's students in a classroom giving out Valentine's Day cards to their classmates, candy to your friends, roses and chocolate to someone you love, or a romantic dinner for two.

How else can we show our friends and loved ones that we appreciate them?

*** Give them a hug or a smile :)

*** Treat them to a poem or a song - if you dare :)

***Write them a message with conversation hearts - like these - have you ever seen these before?

They are very popular in the US and maybe in other parts of the world too. And a fun way to learn English. Just be careful to give the right messages to the right people :D

And just for my wonderful readers, a personal concert by yours truly and my husband Rob Philbeck - singing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran.  It's on YouTube (click on the picture below) and you can comment there if you like it - thank you :)

And Happy Valentine's Day!! :D
